UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CARE
For a long time, I struggled with the concept of self-care. I feared that by indulging in it, I might fall back into a state of self-indulgence or become more susceptible to the ego's whims. It was a dilemma that left me hesitant to prioritize my own well-being.
However, my perspective began to shift as I delved deeper into the teachings of week 3 of 4D University and reflected on the concept of oneness. It was during this period of contemplation that I came to a profound realization about the true importance of self-care.
I understood that caring for oneself is not a selfish act, but rather a necessary one. By nurturing our physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, we ensure that we have the capacity and energy to serve others effectively. Self-care is about aligning ourselves closer with the Creator, fostering a deeper connection to the source of love and understanding. It's about enhancing our ability to share this love and understanding with others.
I realized that without proper self-care, our ability to serve others could be severely diminished. If we neglect our own well-being, we may not have the necessary energy, health, or spiritual alignment to engage in meaningful service to others. In this light, self-care is not just about personal indulgence but about preparing ourselves to be better instruments of love and service in the world.
This understanding has transformed the way I view self-care. It's no longer a guilty pleasure but a vital practice that enables me to be a more effective conduit of love and service. It's a reminder that by taking care of ourselves, we are better equipped to take care of others and make a positive impact in the world.
