SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION FLOW
In my previous life as a marketer, I was rewarded to illustrate the perceptual shifts required to increase purchase, customer satisfaction, and word of mouth. This allowed my clients to identify bottlenecks within their marketing activities, and to focus their resources in solving them both effectively and efficiently. I used a framework developed by Procter and Gamble called the "perception flow," which outlines the journey of a consumer from being initially unaware to ultimately becoming an advocate of the brand, through progressions facilitated by various cognitive stimuli.
As I navigated through my personal quest for meaning beyond the superficial solutions of everyday life, I realized this model could be adapted to frame my spiritual awakening journey. The transition from using marketing principles to navigate consumer behavior to applying a similar structured approach to my spiritual path highlighted a profound shift in perspective. It was an enlightening process to see how stages of awakening could align with the consumer journey model, providing a unique lens through which to view and understand personal growth and enlightenment.
